Microwavable Desserts: A Delicious New Favorite

The one thing better than a delicious dessert is one that you can make and enjoy right in your very own home. Warm brownies, freshly baked cookies, and various other treats are at their tastiest just out of the oven – or, as is often the case these days, the microwave.

The concept of mixing and cooking tasty desserts in the microwave is still relatively new compared to other speed scratch favorites, which means a couple of things. First, flavorists are still exploring the many different ways to make these dishes tastes as much like the “real thing” as possible. And second, flavorists are still exploring the many different ways that they can create new and unique speed scratch desserts for microwave oven cooking.

Of course, when creating these types of speed scratch desserts, it’s important to find ways to replicate certain types of flavors. One example of this is caramel. Flavor ingredients such as Advanced Biotech’s Natural Ethyl Pyruvate can be used to create the overall caramel flavor of syrup that can be used to replicate real caramel swirls in a microwavable dessert product such as caramel brownies.

Even fruit flavors such as cherry can be recreated using these types of flavor ingredients in order to produce goods such as black forest cake. Since these types of products are just starting to hit the market in a big way, there’s a lot of room to experiment with different delicious dessert options.
